We support the victim’s right to due process in criminal court proceedings including the right to provide input into key decisions at sentencing and prior to an offender's release on parole or from prison.  We also notify victim’s of juvenile offenders when a juvenile will be home on a home pass.  In Protection From Abuse Orders, we also notify the plaintiff (victim) when a defendant is released from a correctional facility. This is a very critical time for the plaintiff because this is the time when a defendant is most likely to return to the plaintiff’s  place of employment or home and commit additional abusive acts toward him or her.  PFA’s are civil actions in court not criminal.
