The Mifflin County Commissioners would like to take this opportunity to remind our citizens what they can do to protect themselves and others from the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This is even more important now that we have had a positive case of COVID-19 identified in Mifflin County.
- Wash your hands often
- Cough or sneeze into your elbow, not your hand
- Don’t touch your Eyes, Nose or Mouth
- Clean Surfaces regularly
- Stay home when you are sick
- Avoid sick people
Practice Social Distancing
- Try to keep six feet away from others
- Avoid large crowds or crowded spaces
Schools and businesses have been closed to assist with social distancing. It does the community no good if everyone who is now off meets at the grocery store or large retailer. Protect yourself and your neighbors! The more people congregate, the more likely COVID-19 can spread which could lead to Stay-at-home orders for the community.
Please take social distancing seriously. Now is the time to stop the spread of COVID-19 and flatten the curve to protect those who are at serious risk and our 1st Responders/Healthcare Workers.
